Police are investigating after two friends were left “in fear” as they were robbed in a car park. Hertfordshire Constabulary says the incident occurred in Waterfields retail park, Watford, just before 7pm on Sunday, January 3. The force says the victims – aged 14 and 15 – were in the car park when they were approached by two men. They threatened the victims and forced them to hand over a portable speaker and mobile phone before walking off in the direction of the overground station. Police have now released images of two people they would like to identify and speak to as part of their enquiries.
A man from Borehamwood has been jailed for his part in a violent attack outside a club. Two clubbers were left seriously injured when they were assaulted after leaving Pryzm in Watford town centre on Tuesday April 30. Both victims required surgery after the attack - one suffered a broken arm while the other suffered a facial fracture - and neither victim has fully recovered. Four men have been jailed for a total of just over 12 years.
Alexandru Hriscu, aged 22, of Wells Drive, Kingsbury, London, pleaded guilty to Section 18 Grievous Bodily Harm (GBH) and was sentenced on December 17 at St Albans Crown Court to seven years and four months in prison.
