The Jewish Museum of Florida-FIU reopens its doors
While the museums virtual and digital programs will continue in full force, JMOF-FIU is welcoming back guests safely, by appointment.

.- On Tuesday, April 6, the Jewish Museum of Florida-FIU reopened its doors to the community. Last March, JMOF-FIU temporarily closed in response to the coronavirus pandemic, and transitioned to virtual tours, digital content and social media outreach.
While the museums virtual and digital programs will continue in full force, JMOF-FIU is welcoming back guests safely, by appointment.
Currently on view at the museum are Will Eisner: Comic Creator, Illustrator and Innovator, The Sanctuary, and Jews of the Florida Panhandle.

Jewish museum welcomes public back with reopening

The Jewish Museum of Florida-FIU has reopened its doors to the public after being temporarily closed since March 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The JMOF-FIU, 301 Washington Ave. in Miami Beach, features photographs, paintings, sculptures, drawings, visual art exhibitions and cultural public programing on Florida’s Jewish history. Its facility consists of two restored historic buildings that were once synagogues for Miami Beach’s first Jewish congregation.
When the pandemic began, the museum transitioned to virtual tours, digital content and social media outreach.
Susan Gladstone Pasternack, the museum’s executive director, said, “While I think a hybrid virtual-meets-in-person model is the new normal for us, and for most museums moving forward, we are thrilled to be able to reopen after a full year of being closed and welcome the pu
