Edythe June Hackenmueller passed away peacefully at 87 years old on Monday, February 1, 2021 at Eureka Hospital, surrounded by her devoted husband Harry and family. June Hackenmueller was the beloved wife of Harry Hackenmueller for 70 years.
Much loved Mother of Theresa Parks (Holiday Island, AR), Brenda Scheibly (Ocala, FL), Patti Faulconer (Holiday Island, AR), and Laura Amen (Homosassa, FL); Cherished Grandmother of 7 Grandchildren: Alice June, Christina, Anthony, Katie Lyn, Nicky, Amanda, Tristen and Ashley; 16 Great-Grandchildren.
Our Mom was the strongest woman Ive ever met. She wasnt afraid of anyone or anything and loved everyone with a sweet big smile. Mom was the one person you could count on if you need help. She was a nurse for many years helping others. Mom was always ready with an uplifting smile or the right words to brighten your day. She will be greatly missed, her wisdom, love, and joy for life will live on in all of her family
On Sunday, activist and poet Amanda Gorman, 22, became the first National Youth Poet Laureate to recite an original poem at the Super Bowl, played between the Kansas City Chiefs and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Gorman s poem, Chorus of the Captains, celebrated three honorary captains Pittsburgh-based Marine veteran James Martin, who volunteers with the Wounded Warrior Project and works with at-risk kids; Los Angeles educator Trimaine Davis; and Tampa ICU nurse manager Suzie Dorner.
During an interview with Trevor Noah on
The Daily Show, she shared the importance of being at the big game. These are the moments I strive for in my lifetime, which is to bring poetry into places that we least expect it, so we can fully kind of grapple with the ways in which it can heal us and kind of resurrect us, she said.

National Youth Poet Laureate Amanda Gorman shared her talent with the world once again during Super Bowl LV, performing a poem dedicated to the everyday heroes of the COVID-19 pandemic.
This year, the NFL chose three Super Bowl captains who have made an impact on their communities during the pandemic. Gorman recited a poem honoring them, titled “Chorus of the Captains,” into a 1950s-era microphone while pensive yet triumphant music played. She is the first poet to ever perform at the Super Bowl.

Amanda Gorman treated Americans to yet another moving poem during Super Bowl LV on Sunday.
As the first-ever poet to recite a poem at the Super Bowl, the Nation s Youth Poet Laureate Gorman performed an original piece honoring the resilience and leadership three Americans named Super Bowl LV s honorary captains: Los Angeles educator Trimaine Davis, Florida nurse manager Suzie Dorner and Marine veteran James Martin, who works with nonprofit organization Wounded Warrior Project and created a virtual discord to help veterans connect with one another amid the pandemic.
