Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - A young Rochester boy was hit by a car while walking across a street late Wednesday afternoon.
Police say the 8-year-old got off a city bus in the 3600 block of 18th Ave NW around 6:00 pm. He was with his sister and a family friend. After the bus pulled away, the three were walking across the street when the boy was hit

The boy was checked at the scene by paramedics. The boy s mother said they decided not to take him to the hospital by ambulance. She later took him to the ER where he was treated for a bump on his head and arm and leg lacerations. The boy s mother said he was kept for about 3 hours for observation but apparently did not suffer a concussion.
