The Council:
Guides involvement in outreach, engagement, and leadership activities through systematic assessment, reporting, and policy development to fulfill the commitments of a Carnegie Community Engaged Institution. MSU was once again recognized with the Carnegie Community Engagement Classification in 2020, an elective designation that indicates institutional commitment to community engagement by the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching.
Strategically guides outreach, engagement, and leadership at MSU by collaborating with off-campus communities and other external partners, leveraging resources and pursuing extramural funding.
