Deputies are searching for the whereabouts of Jocephus Jones III, 18, according to the release.
Deputies responded to reports of a shooting near the 2900 block of Cage Street in Hope Mills early Sunday morning, according to the release.
Jones is described as standing 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighing approximately 190 pounds.

Hope Mills, N.C. Cumberland County deputies are searching for a person of interest in a fatal shooting on Dec. 20.
Deputies are looking for 18-year-old Jocephus Jones. They want to talk to him about the shooting death of Cornell Ward, 31, in the 2900 block of Cage Street in Hope Mills.
