Rioux says the new towers will help save more lives and they ve been waiting for them for after two years.

The Corpus Christi Parks and Recreation Department announced in a news release Wednesday the public can now use the Phillip Dimitt Municipal Fishing Pier, located at 101 Jester St. The pier is about a 2-hour drive from San Antonio. According to the release, the pier has been closed since 2018. The pier re-opened this week with improvements, including the addition of LED lighting for night fishing, new benches and fish-washing stations. Renovations to the pier include minor structural member replacement, new floorboards, and a new guardrail.
