Bartlett Yancey rolls past Carrboro, 62-0

The Bartlett Yancey Buccaneers made quick work of the Carrboro Jaguars on Friday night with a 62-0 blowout win on the road.
The game was a rematch of a closer contest from earlier in the season when the Buccaneers won by a score of 23-2.
This one got out of hand quickly as on the first possession of the game, Jaylen Neal intercepted a Carrboro pass and took it back to the house for a 7-0 lead.
Two rushing touchdowns by Davon Lipscomb, one from in close and one from over 65 yards away, made it 22-0 at the end of the first quarter.

No. 20 Reidsville moved to 7-1 overall and 4-0 in Mid-State 2A Conference play with its 66-55 home win over Carrboro on Thursday. The Rams were paced by senior Breon Pass and sophomore Tamir Jackson with 25 and 16 points respectively.

McMichael takes down Carrboro 3-1 to advance to regional final

Carrboro, N.C. The McMichael Phoenix handed the Carrboro Jaguars their first loss of the season on Saturday night as they moved on to the regional final with a 3-1 win on the road.
The Phoenix took the first set 25-18 to establish early control of the match.
Cassie Tanton and the rest of McMichael s attack proved to be a dominant force throughout the night, as quite often the Jaguars were unable to return their powerful strikes.
That was not the case in the second, set though, as Carrboro found its lone set win of the night with an impressive bounce-back performance at 25-19.
