Arturo Fuente Adding Three New Rare Pink Vitolas
Arturo Fuente will be adding a trio of new sizes to its Rare Pink line, bringing the total number of cigars in the line to seven.
The first two vitolas are scheduled to arrive in October: 3 3/4 x 54 and 7 1/4 x 53. Like the rest of the sizes in the line, they will be perfectos.
Carlos “Carlito” Fuente Jr. told
halfwheel that there is also another size, which he described as a “Lancero Figurado” that will arrive “several months after” October.
The line, formally known as Rare Pinks Vintage 1960’s Series, debuted late last year. It uses an Ecuadorian wrapper over a mixture of filler tobaccos, including tobacco from the Fuente farms in Nicaragua.
Arturo Fuente Keeps Prices Flat for Almost All of Its Portfolio
Arturo Fuente says it will not be increasing prices for more than 99 percent of its production. That of course means that some the company says less than 1 percent will be increasing.
“The Fuente family has experienced and overcome major difficulties and tragedies during our 109 years in the premium cigar industry, and our long-standing principles and values dictate that we must do our best to assist in times like these,” said Carlos “Carlito” Fuente, Jr., president of The Fuente Companies, in a press release. “We are committed to selling the highest-quality cigars at the fairest prices, and we work hard to keep our prices at or below market.”

Every year, Arturo Fuente releases special holiday collections of cigars that come in attractive, colorful boxes. The 2020 editions are no different, and all except the Fuente Fuente OpusX Rare Black Double Corona and Opus22 have already been delivered to Fuente Aged Selection authorized retailers.
The Fuente Fuente OpusX Serie Heaven and Earth collection features three different cigars: the Rare Black Double Corona ($65 per cigar), Rare Black Torpedo ($49.90) and Scorpio Maduro ($49.90). While the Double Corona has not yet been shipped, it’s expected to become available in stores February 2021. It’s also the first appearance Scorpio Maduro has made in roughly 15 years.
