The story of Remigijus Ziausys and other hard nuts who made careers out of losing in British boxing rings, writes Steve Bunce
IF Saul Canelo Alvarez is building a chess set of the British men he has beaten for display somewhere in his latest mansion, then Remigijus Ziausys could build an army of gnomes at his home in Lithuania.
Alvarez has beaten seven British boxers, the most wins by a good fighter against good British opposition. Jacob Matlala and Arthur Abraham are also contenders with fights against six good British boxers; Baby Jake has actually had eight fights, including one in South Africa.
Conor Benn makes his loudest statement yet
Conor Benn trounces gatekeeper Samuel Vargas inside 90 seconds. Steve Bunce reports from ringside
CONOR BENN sent out an old-fashioned message during a night when legitimacy was a backdrop to the action.
Benn left Samuel Vargas helpless and hopeless on the ropes, forcing the referee, Michael Alexander, to intervene after just 80 seconds of the first round. It was the end nobody predicted, not even the gushing patriots in the Benn business.
Vargas was separated from his senses, trying to fight, looking for an answer and trying not to walk like a drunk. He had no complaints about the stoppage and was a short hook away from being dropped for more than the global rites of 10.

A close friend revealed Barber became distant from him after he said swinging was not really for me .
The teacher with a massive sex drive left him for their gardener.
The friend told The Sun: Then they went away for a weekend and she said to him, what about if we get some other people round? . It was clear she wanted to get her hands on some other men and she was probably excited by the idea of Carl being with another woman.
He said no and Barber seemed to be okay with that at the time, but the decision was a turning point in their relationship according to the friend.
