Homes damaged by floodwaters in Bunerdas area of Diamer district, Gilgit-Baltistan. Dawn GILGIT: Three persons, including a girl, died in flash floods caused by heavy rainfall in Diamer district on Thursday. Rescue officials said landslides blocked the Kara­koram Highway, the Babusar road and many link roads in various areas of the district. They said floodwater damaged many houses, swept away standing crops and trees in Khinar and Bune­rdas villages of Diamer. Deputy Commissioner Saad Bin Asad confirmed that three people, including a girl, were killed in the floods in Diamer. He said teams of Rescue 1122 and tourist police personnel were taking part in the relief and rescue activities.
