The total fell by seven to 44. 66 new cases of the coronavirus were reported Thursday by Catawba County Public Health, increasing the total to 16,394. There were no new virus-related deaths reported, leaving the tally at 263.
Eight COVID-19-related deaths were reported Thursday in Caldwell County, raising the total to 127. One patient was between the ages of 50 and 64; three were between 65 and 74; and four were over the age of 75. Six were reported to have underlying health conditions, and three were hospitalized. 31 new cases of the coronavirus were reported, increasing the total to 8,225. There were 28 people hospitalized.
