Texas State Student Jason Landry Is Still Missing A Month Later Nearly a month after crashing his car on a rural dirt road just outside of Luling, Texas, Texas State University student Jason Landry has still not been found. The Caldwell County Sheriff s Office released a new photo of Jason on Friday, January 8. The last time anyone heard from him or saw him was on December 13. The 21-year-old was on his way home to Missouri City, just outside of Houston, for the holidays when his family believes he got turned around by his GPS. His Nissan Altima was found crashed and abandoned on the side of a rural road in Luling - about 30 minutes from San Marcos, Texas where he attends school.

LOCKHART, Texas (KTRK) Nearly a month after disappearing from a rural south central Texas road, Jason Landry s whereabouts are still unknown. The Caldwell County Sheriff s Office released a new photo of Landry on Friday. Landry was last heard from on Dec. 13. The 21-year-old Texas State University student from Missouri City was on his way home, but his Nissan Altima was found crashed and abandoned outside of Luling, Texas. Luling is approximately 30 minutes away from the school in San Marcos and 140 miles west of Houston. His wallet, phone and keys were found inside the car. Clothing was found approximately 900 feet from the crash, according to the sheriff s office.

On Sunday, Jan 3, deputies responded to Robin Ranch Road in the Lockhart area for a report of a man who had been shot. Deputies found a man on the property who had suffered a gunshot wound to the knee, according to CCSO. The man, who had been on a hike on private property when the shooting happened, was taken to Seton-Hays for treatment and later released, says CCSO. An investigation determined the shooting was a case of deadly conduct and that the shots came from a neighboring property. CCSO says that subjects on that property did not have the proper backstop and were not shooting in a safe direction.

(WBTV) - An 18-year-old was killed in a shooting in Caldwell County Tuesday afternoon. The Caldwell County Sheriff’s Office says no one has been charged at this time. The incident happened around 11:30 a.m. at the Market Basket store on 321 A in Sawmills. Deputies were dispatched to an incomplete 911 call at the store. Officials said two people were taken to an area hospital and one was in critical condition, and later died.
