The Veterinary Professional Assistance Program (VPAP) and Work-Life Services was just launched thanks to the Wisconsin Veterinary Examining Board. The new program is to help veterinarians, vet techs, and their families if they’re struggling with issues at work, home, or anywhere else. The service is available 24/7 and encourages those in the veterinary field to get issues off their chest.
The program makes sense because when you have a lot on your mind, you may not be focused on the job at hand, but if you talk to someone, it could help out significantly. Also, putting off your mental health can lead to issues such as anxiety and depression. You should never ignore your mental health since it’ll start impacting every aspect of your life.
