MARSHALL MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Calhoun County authorities continue to look into a shooting incident Saturday afternoon.
Deputies were called to the Avenue A Trailer Park in Springfield just before 4 pm on a report of shots fired, and discovered a 26 year old man who was suffering from a single gunshot wound.
According to deputies, the victim was the caller who notified authorities.
He was taken to Bronson in Kalamazoo for treatment.
His name and condition are not known at this time.
A spokesperson for the department says that there is no immediate threat to the public.

UNION CITY, Mich. â Union City police are warning residents of counterfeit money being distributed in the area after complaints from businesses and a private seller over the past week.
The department, along with the Calhoun County Sheriffâs Office, executed a search warrant on 8 Mile Road on Feb. 12 related to the complaints.
They seized counterfeit money, along with goods purchased with counterfeit money, and charges are pending.
Anyone who suspects theyâve been given counterfeit bills â which were passed in all denominations â may contact the Union City Police Department at 517-741-9191.
