The Women Creators Program by Epic Games’ Unreal Engine has already selected 20 women producers and VFX professionals to participate in a four-week virtual training and mentoring programme.

For years now, women are levelling the playing field when it comes to gaming. In fact, women gaming experts from creators, designers, to entrepreneurs are busy changing mindsets and breaking stereotypes.

Epic Games Battle Breakers recently made a global launch and is essentially a cross-platform gacha RPG game. It is a sci-fi dream game that takes place in a universe where technology and magic live in harmony, and allows you to build a team of unique heroes (over one hundred of them) to save your planet from the invasion of space monsters. The game is powered by Epic Games’ Unreal Engine 4, which shows off its ability to render a vibrant cartoon art style.

What makes it stand out however is its unique battle system. During combat, you have a grid of crystals on the screen. Tapping these crystals reveals things behind them, be it items, enemies, buffs etc. The heroes are collectible and have special abilities that are usable during battle.
Roblox, which owns a popular online platform for creating and sharing video games, is scheduled to go public via a direct listing on the NYSE under the ticker RBLX on March 10.
Roblox initially planned to launch its IPO last December but delayed its debut due to concerns about its pricing. In January it decided to aim for a direct listing instead, which lets its insiders sell their existing shares to investors without selling new shares like a traditional IPO.
However, Roblox s debut was postponed again in February after the Securities and Exchange Commission asked it to revise the way it recognizes revenue from its virtual currency, Robux. Roblox says it has addressed the SEC s issues, and recently released its updated full-year results in a fresh S-1 filing. After reviewing the new numbers, I m still excited about buying Roblox later this month, for five reasons.
