CUSTOMERS at Kingfisher Shopping Centre in Redditch are being reminded to follow Covid-19 safety guidelines. Many of the centre s non-essential shops and its gym reopened at the centre on Monday (April 12) following the easing of lockdown restrictions. Following the reopening, visitor volume will continue to be managed by the centre to allow for sufficient open space to meet social distancing requirements. This will be monitored by existing footfall counting technology which will be used to manage the number of guests accessing the centre. Visitors are asked to not to enter the centre if you are experiencing any of the Covid-19 symptoms. They are also asked to maintain a distance of at least two metres from all other members of the public, strictly observe the centre’s social distancing measures as instructed by, and where a face mask unless exempt.

High streets will receive a welcome boost on Monday as non-essential shops will once again be allowed to open their doors to shoppers as part of Boris Johnson’s road map out of lockdown. The Kingfisher Shopping Centre store will reopen in line with government guidance, and will only trade until all stock is cleared. In a statement, the company said it will begin to permanently close the stores from 2 May, and will expect all stock to be cleared and stores closed by 15 May.

HERE S a first look at the brand new Next store opening at the Kingfisher Shopping Centre in Redditch. The department store is set to open at 9am on Monday (April 12) when non-essential retailers across the country will begin reopening.
