Officers responded to a report of shots fired outside the Kinsman Party Center in the 3200 block of East 93rd Street around 3:30 a.m. Saturday, according to a Cleveland police press release. When they arrived they found a man, later identified as Ellis, lying in the parking lot outside the party center. Multiple people and vehicles were leaving the area.

Police got to the scene and found the man lying in the parking lot with a gunshot wound to his head, Ciaccia said. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
