Shortly after 10am (Wednesday 17 March 2021), a Mazda 2 was travelling along First Avenue, South Warrawong, when it allegedly mounted the kerb and drove along the footpath, before hitting a tree. Officers from the Southern Region Enforcement Squad attended a short time later and spoke with the driver, a 66-year-old woman. She was subject to a roadside breath test which returned a positive result.

Officers from the Southern Region Enforcement Squad attended a short time later and spoke with the driver, a 66-year-old woman. She was subject to a roadside breath test which allegedly returned a positive result. The woman was arrested and taken to Lake Illawarra Police Station for a breath analysis, which allegedly returned a reading of 0.306.

Police say two girls aged 11 and nine were swimming at a pool in Kiama on October 3 when a man swam close to the girls before touching them on the leg area. The girls left the pool and reported the incident to staff and police.
