The Lagos State Police Command has arrested a socialite, Mike Eze, aka
Pretty Mike, for allegedly facilitating operations at the Cubana Nightclub in the Victoria Island area of the state.
The state Commissioner of Police, Hakeem Odumosu, while parading 172 persons arrested for violating COVID-19 protocols during a raid on the nightclub, had ordered the arrest of the nightclub owner.
The state Police Public Relations Officer, Muyiwa Adejobi, who confirmed Eze’s arrest, said the socialite, who was a consultant for the club, allegedly facilitated its operations on the day it was raided by the police.
Adejobi said, “We picked him as a consultant for Cubana club. He allegedly facilitated the operations of the club on that day and he will be charged to court. We have our findings that he is the consultant/manager of that club. He has a case to answer.”

A mobile court sitting at the Lagos State Task Force on Environmental and Special Offences Enforcement Unit in Oshodi has convicted 172 persons including those arrested in Cubana Night club by the state police command for violating COVID-19 protocols.
Each of the 172 violators will pay a fine of N40,000, in addition to observing community service.
The state Commissioner of Police, Hakeem Odumosu, had while parading them at the command headquarters in Ikeja, said the 172 persons were arrested during a raid on the Cubana Nightclub, Victoria Island, on Saturday.
Odumosu said, “Despite all the efforts and COVID-19 policies being rolled out by the government, most youths, who are leaders of tomorrow, still find it difficult to comply. Self-compliance is what matters most; the ladies and gentlemen here were arrested around 2am on Saturday at the Cubana Nightclub on Victoria Island.
