Cuba reports 1,060 Covid-19 cases and six deaths
Havana, Apr 19 (Prensa Latina) Cuba on Monday confirmed 1,060 Covid-19 cases and six deaths in the past 24 hours ,due to complications from the disease. The country has reported 94,571 cases of infections with SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus, which causes Covid-19, and 531 deaths since March, 2020.
According to reports, 24,853 patients are still in hospitals, 3,463 of who are suspected cases, 16,479 people are under epidemiological surveillance and 4,911 are active cases.
At his daily press briefing on television, the National director of Epidemiology at the Cuban Ministry of Public Health (MINSAP), Dr. Francisco Duran, said that in order to detect the coronavirus, 21,568 PCR tests in real time were performed on Sunday, totaling 3,385,469 such tests since the outbreak of the pandemic in Cuba 13 months ago.

Havana, Apr 13 (Prensa Latina) The Cuban Ministry of Public Health (MINSAP) reported 1,600 new Covid-19 cases and nine deaths in the last 24 hours on Monday.
The national director of Epidemiology, Dr. Francisco Duran, explained during his daily press conference that 4,826 people are in hospitals nationwide.
The total number of Covid-19-related deaths reached 476, while contagions have risen to 88,445 since March 2020, the doctor said.

Havana, Apr 1 (Prensa Latina) The creation of the Cuba-Russia Binational Cooperation Council will allow promoting research and scientific and technical development projects related to the medical field, the Cuban Ministry of Public Health reported on Thursday.
During the 18th session of the Cuba-Russia Intergovernmental Commission, both parties agreed to sign a new work memorandum on the exchange of experiences, thus replacing the old agreement reached in 2000.
Havana and Moscow are willing to boost mutual knowledge about the implementation of protocols to fight Covid-19 and the performance of clinical trials for this and other diseases.

Havana, Apr 1 (Prensa Latina) Cuban health authorities said that 71,493 patients have recovered from Covid-19 so far, and reported 879 people discharged from hospitals nationwide and 1,013 new cases in the last 24 hours. Dr. Francisco Duran, national director of Epidemiology at the Cuban Ministry of Public Health (MINSAP), explained that 20,914 PCR tests were performed in all 23 Molecular Biology laboratories throughout Cuba.
He added that 4,302 people are in hospitals, 4,228 of whom are stable, while 74 are in intensive care units, including 43 in a serious condition and 31 in a critical state.
