Havana, May 18 (Prensa Latina) The declared priorities of the United States on human rights contrast with the indifference with which the current administration applies Donald Trump s policies against Cuba, the Cuban Foreign Ministry said on Tuesday.
Through his official Twitter account, Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez recalled central issues on President Joe Biden s agenda, such as leadership in confronting the Covid-19 pandemic and the rectification of the atrocious policies of the previous administration.
However, the foreign minister said, these purposes are in contrast with the evident indifference and insensitivity shown in the implementation of the provisions adopted by the previous president.

Havana, May 13 (Prensa Latina) Cuba and Egypt ratified the positive state of relations and the willingness to strengthen economic and commercial ties, Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez informed on Thursday.
On his Twitter account, the minister added that he received Egyptian Ambassador Mohamed Hisham Gamal Eldien Shuair, who will end his mission in Cuba.
Both countries established diplomatic relations on Sept.5, 1949, but several sources indicate that they were strengthened after Ernesto Che Guevara s visit to Cairo in 1959.

Havana, May 5 (Prensa Latina) Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez on Wednesday urged the United States to lift the blockade imposed on his country for nearly six decades and the more than 240 measures implemented by the previous administration. On his official Twitter account, the foreign minister also called on US Secretary of State Antony Blinken to reestablish consular services and family reunification.
If Blinken were interested in Cubans human rights, he would lift the economic blockade and the 243 measures implemented by the previous administration, still in force amid the Covid-19 pandemic, he wrote.
