Cuba and Algeria ratify willingness to strengthen ties
Havana, May 4 (Prensa Latina) Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez and his Algerian counterpart, Sabri Boukadoum, on Tuesday ratified their will to strengthen bilateral ties during a telephone conversation. Both representatives bet on deepening political dialogue and economic, trade and cooperation, according to a message published by the Cuban Foreign Minister on his Twitter account.
Cuba and Algeria have maintained ties since the independence of the African country in 1962.
Among the main areas of exchange are health care, energy, new technologies, construction, education, culture and sports.

Havana, Apr 29 (Prensa Latina) Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez on Thursday denounced damages caused to the health sector by the US economic, commercial and financial blockade. The foreign minister said on Twitter that such hostile policy, tightened during the Covid-19 pandemic, affects the inventories of available drugs in Cuban pharmacies, hospitals and care homes.
He added that threats and reprisals against banks and suppliers, in order to include Cuba in the list of countries that supposedly sponsor terrorism, hinder the purchase of indispensable supplies and drugs.
