New hotel and other upgrades in the pipeline for Sun City resort
Sun International’s management has devised a plan to expand Sun City in order to boost tourism to the resort and the region.
At a recent meeting between management from Sun International – the owner of the Sun City resort – and provincial officials from the North West province, it was revealed that future plans for the complex located in the North West Province, include a new hotel.

Regarded as one of South Africa’s premier leisure resorts, Sun City took a major knock in 2020, as a result of the extended national lockdown which placed restrictions on travel between provinces and the prohibition of events and meetings.
Pets & Animals by Phoebe Loomes A young jabiru has surprised wildlife rescuers in Far North Queensland by confidently wandering into their home and taking up residence. Sally Gray and Graham Woods, managers at the Piccaninny Plains Wildlife Sanctuary at Cape York, were amused when they noticed one of the young birds they d rehabilitated and set free returned to their sanctuary. Fred now regularly stops by their home in the morning, and is known for raiding their fridge. The pair describe the bird as part of the family - but they say interacting with a human is quite an incredible turn for a wild bird.
