GRAFTON Weekly fireworks will light the skies over this Jersey County community throughout the summer.
Great Rivers & Routes Tourism Bureau of Southwest Illinois said the shows will begin at 9 p.m. every Thursday from June 3 to Sept. 9, except for July 1.

ALTON Weekly fireworks are planned this summer in Alton and Grafton by the Great Rivers & Routes Tourism Bureau of Southwest Illinois.
The fireworks shows will go off simultaneously at 9 p.m. every Thursday from June 3 to Sept. 9, except on Thursday, July 1.
“We are celebrating our summer travel season and encourage people to get out and explore our region,” said Cory Jobe, President and CEO of the Great Rivers & Routes Tourism Bureau.
Grafton Ferry ready for new season

The Grafton Ferry, operated by the Calhoun Ferry Company, will resume service at 10 a.m. Friday. Use of the ferry cuts travel time between Missouri and Illinois by about 30 minutes, and people can get out of their vehicles during the river crossings.
GRAFTON The Grafton Ferry will resume operations on Friday for the 2021 season.
This year the ferry is expanding its hours to give people greater access to the Grafton area.
Use of the ferry which can accommodate personal vehicles, buses and vans cuts travel time between Missouri and Illinois by about 30 minutes. People are allowed to get out of their vehicles during the river crossing.
