Great South Coast alliance meets in Portland
Elected local government officials and key industry representatives from across the Great South Coast converged on Portland today (February 26) for a forum to discuss priorities for the region.
Glenelg Shire Council hosted the meeting, the first of the year for the Great South Coast alliance of Councils.
Chair of the Great South Coast Group Anita Rank said the meeting allowed delegates to develop a greater understanding of Portland’s role in the Great South Coast.
“It’s been fantastic to host our local leaders in Portland today to discuss what lies ahead for the region and what issues and opportunities the Great South Coast Group will be prioritising and pursuing through 2021 and beyond,” Cr Rank said.
