As part of continuing efforts to bring broadband internet to more rural parts of Michigan, state Rep. Phil Green recently introduced a proposal that would help make broadband more accessible.
Green’s proposal would eliminate sales and use taxes for broadband equipment, which would help bring down the costs for a broadband project.
“Lowering the cost makes every dollar go further and makes expensive rural projects more feasible,” Green said in a statement. “It’s another tool in the tool belt to bring more broadband investment to Michigan.”
