About 10pm on Thursday 8 July 2021, police have been told a man entered a home in Yanco, where two women – aged 18 and 21 – were inside. The women asked the man to leave, before he allegedly sexually touched the younger woman and attempted to sexually assault the older woman. The man left and attended a home in Leeton, where he allegedly sexually assaulted a 22-year-old woman. The incidents were reported to police on Tuesday (13 July 2021), and officers attached to Murrumbidgee Police District commenced an investigation.

Officers from Murray River Police District have been investigating since the store on Perricoota Road, Moama, was robbed on 29 January 2019, by a man allegedly armed with a knife. Following extensive inquiries, police arrested a 23-year-old man when he attended Moama Police Station about 1pm today (Wednesday 12 May 2021). The man, from Moama, was charged with robbery armed with offensive weapon, and shoplifting. He appeared in Deniliquin Local Court by AVL today, before being remanded in custody to appear in Griffith Local Court on Friday (14 May 2021).
