One Injured, One Dead in Green County Crash
An Everton woman died and a Springfield man was injured in a three-vehicle accident that occurred Monday morning in Greene County.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a westbound 1998 Dodge pickup with a trailer was stopped on US 160, one mile west of Willard at 8:33 a.m., waiting to make a left turn into a private drive, when the trailer was rear ended by a westbound 2010 Ford Edge, driven by 36-year-old Jessica A. Landis of Everton. After the impact, the Edge traveled into the eastbound lane and was struck by an eastbound 2012 Jeep Cherokee, driven by 26-year-old Kyle A. Mejia of Seattle, Washington.

The Springfield-Greene County Health Department says 37 more people have died from COVID-19.
Half of the people who died lived in long-term care facilities.
One of the victims was a man in his 40s with no underlying health conditions.
24 of the deaths happened in December, the rest were in January.
364 people in Greene County have now died from the virus.
