Updated: 8:08 AM EST Feb 9, 2021 The Greenville County Coroner s Office confirmed Monday that two people were dead after a Monday afternoon crash. The crash was reported at 3:57 p.m. on New Harrison Bridge Road at North Harrison Bridge Road, 2 1/2 miles south of Simpsonville, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol.According to troopers, an SUV did not stop at a stop sign and was hit by a van on New Harrison Bridge Road.The driver and front-seat passenger in the SUV died at the scene, troopers said. They were wearing seatbelts, according to troopers, and a 4-year-old passenger was in a child safety seat and was not injured. Troopers said the driver of the van was hurt and brought to the hospital. A passenger in the van was not hurt. Troopers said both the driver and passenger were wearing seatbelts.
