(Scott Olson/Getty Images) OAN Newsroom UPDATED 6:32 PM PT – Thursday, July 1, 2021 At least three people have been shot in a South Carolina neighborhood, including a deputy. Spartanburg police said the male suspect first shot two County Water employees who were working on a sewer pipeline. The water employees were rushed to a nearby hospital and are reportedly in stable condition. When officers arrived on scene, a shootout with the suspect ensued. One deputy was shot in the arm, however his injuries are not life-threatening. Today’s events have certainly been difficult for our Spartanburg Water family. We are thankful that both of our employees are in good condition and their gunshot injuries were not life-threatening.
