Fengate Asset Management, a Toronto-based investment firm and the current owner of the Weaver Wind project, made the announcement last week in a news release. “Fengate is very pleased the Weaver Wind project is operational,” said Greg Calhoun, Fengate s managing director. “This project provides a new source of clean, reliable energy for Maine and is a significant renewable energy investment for our investors.” The wind farm includes 22 turbines in the sparsely populated towns of Eastbrook and Osborn, which each cover about 40 square miles but together number fewer than 500 residents.

Amadeus Amadeus consists of 96 GE wind turbines deployed across nearly 25,000 acres of federal, state and privately held lands. Over the lifetime of the plant, it will provide millions of dollars in tax benefits to the local community. The wind farm will also reduce the need for power generated from fossil fuels and will keep over 648,000 metric tons of carbon dioxide greenhouse gases from being released into the atmosphere each year.

The wind farm consists of 96 GE turbines deployed across nearly 10,000 hectares of federal, state and privately held lands. Over the lifetime of the plant, it will provide millions of dollars in tax benefits to the local community. BayWa RE chief executive Florian Zerhusen said: “We are grateful to all the stakeholders that worked hard to make this project a success, despite this year s profound global challenges.” Commerzbank financed the construction loan for the project, while Morgan Stanley is purchasing the energy from the project under the terms of a 10-year hedge agreement.
