A Wisconsin based company is looking to expand its presence in Mississippi by bringing 1,200 new jobs to the state, according to a news release from the Governor s office.
Milwaukee Tool, a manufacturer of heavy-duty power tools, hand tools, storage and accessories for professional construction trades worldwide, announced Tuesday it will invest $60 million into a new accessories manufacturing facility in Grenada County.
According to the news release, Milwaukee Tool will construct a 500,000-square-foot facility in Grenada County s I-55 Business and Technology Park. The new facility is expected to open in late 2022.
The new facility will offer 800 new jobs which will be filled within eight years. Some of the available positions will include machine operators, technicians, warehousing and inventory workers, shipping and receiving, engineering and management roles, according to the news release.

JACKSON, Miss. - A tool manufacturing company will invest $60 million to expand in Mississippi and is pledging to create 1,200 new jobs, Republican Gov. Tate Reeves said Tuesday.
Milwaukee Tool new will build an accessories manufacturing facility in the I-55 Business and Technology Park in Grenada County. The site is about halfway between Mississippi s capital city of Jackson and Memphis, Tennessee.
A news release from the state said 800 of the jobs are planned for the Grenada County plant, which should open by late 2022. The company plans to hire machine operators, technicians, engineers, managers and people to work in warehousing/inventory and shipping/receiving.
