Federal trials int the Eastern Kentucky District of U.S. District Court have been postponed yet again due to new orders concerning COVID-19, meaning it will still be several months before current cases get underway.
That includes the trials, both criminal and civil, of Pulaski County Constables Michael âWallyâ Wallace and Gary Baldock.
Last week, Danny Reeves, chief judge in the Eastern District of Kentucky, issued General Order 21-2 which ordered all criminal and civil trials scheduled to begin between March 16 and May 16 to be continued until after at least May 16.
Trials will be rescheduled individually through an order of the assigned judge.

BEAVER DAM, Ky. (AP) A Kentucky man has been charged with nearly striking a police officer with his car and later leading officers on a high-speed chase that ended when he ran out of gas, state police said.
Officers received a call Monday night about a driver ramming another vehicle in an alleged road rage incident in Ohio County. Police located the car and performed a traffic stop, according to a media release from Kentucky State Police. But the motorist fled and nearly struck an officer from the Beaver Dam Police Department, according to the release.

Three theft suspects, all teenagers, have led the Grayson County Sheriff’s Office, Leitchfield Police Department and Kentucky State Police on a high-speed chase that began on South Main Street and ended on the Western Kentucky Parkway in Hardin County.
Monday night at approximately 11:00, a homeowner in the 9000 block of Shrewsbury Road notified Grayson Count Dispatch that multiple suspects had broken into a vehicle on his property and stole a lock box containing two firearms.
