Tajikistan comments on plan to build water reservoir in Leilek district

In response to the plan voiced by Kyrgyz National Security Committee Chairman Kamchibek Tashiev about construction of the water reservoir, the Tajik official said construction of water reservoir in border areas should be regulated by interstate agreement. This is not first time when the Kyrgyz side wants to build a water reservoir near the source of Hojabokirgon river. But the talks are in progress. We will build it either together or it is unknown how these talks will end. Construction of water reservoirs in border areas should be addressed at the level of interstate agreement, Halim Hojiev said.
