Greenfield FFA team takes 1st in the stae
On April 9, members of the Greenfield FFA Agricultural Communications team met to complete a virtual contest. The team was made up of Aly Murphy, Natalie Rolfe, Alex Snyder and Taylor Harper. Each member had to complete an initial written portion, form a media plan, and film their informational video they named Blue Jackets, Gold Standards. The purpose of the media plan was to promote local ag teacher Chris Fitzpatrick. The contest has been ongoing since the middle of January. After a lot of hard work, the team placed first overall in the state for the second year in a row. A big thank you goes out to Drew Hamilton for assisting the team in filming their video.
A mad scramble for money marked the April 2020 start of a $349 billion federal COVID-relief loan program that ran dry within two weeks. Afraid it wouldn’t even last that long, business owners deluged bankers with pleas for rapid issuance of the lifesaving loans.
“The biggest concern we all had was that the money would run out that first weekend,” says Aaron Anker, an owner and self-proclaimed chief granola officer at Grandy Oats, a Hiram-based maker of organic granola, trail mixes, roasted nuts and cereal that employs more than 30. “When the first round came out, I was on the phone with my banker until all hours.”

It is also expected to be reviewed by the Medical Council, which is the regulator for the medical profession. One senior obstetrician colleague, Professor Chris Fitzpatrick, has already said Professor O Connell should resign.
The Government has meanwhile heaped pressure on the board of the privately owned Beacon hospital to deal with Michael Cullen, who is also a director and shareholder. The board last week appointed a top lawyer, Eugene McCague, to carry out an independent review. Paul Reid, the chief executive of the HSE, said last week that such cases were in a minority and he also suggested the HSE monitor and audit the administration of vaccines. The HSE has been unable to disclose to this newspaper and others how many suspected or reported cases there have been of the vaccine being administered to people out of turn.
