STRUTHERS – Habitat for Humanity of Mahoning Valley (HFHMV) has received a $30,000 donation from the Kathleen P. Keevey Family Trust. This gift was left to HFHMV from Keevey’s estate.
Kathleen DiCiccio Keevey, a 1960 graduate from Struthers High School earned a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Youngstown University. She was a teacher for 30 years and taught for the Struthers City Schools, for the Diocese of Youngstown, and retired in 2008 from St. Nicholas Elementary School in Struthers.
Director of Development, Kristina Nicholas said, “These funds couldn’t come at a better time. Due to COVID we had to cancel our in-person Building Hope fundraiser which is our largest revenue generating event of the year. This gift will allow us to keep building houses, community, and hope in the Mahoning Valley.”
