The marine police arrested six fishermen after they were found with over 600 pounds of lobsters, during a closed season.
The operation took place in Blue-fields, Westmoreland on Friday.
Reports are that between 5:00 am and 6 :00 am a team of officers was patrolling the coasts when they stopped and search a vessel that was traveling from Pedro Banks towards Bluefields.
During the search of the vessel that the men were traveling in 668 pounds of lobsters were found.
Six men were arrested and charged under the Fisheries Act for the possession of Lobster in closed season.
The men who were arrested have been identified as Lebert Pryce, 66, Thadius Dave, 62, Bertel Ried, 62, Anthony Michael Lee, 52, Christopher Dale, 40 all of White Horses, Westmoreland addresses.
