THE family of a man shot dead by gardai during a stand-off have told of their agony and issued an appeal for people not to share video footage of the horror incident.
George Nkencho was suspected of being involved in incidents near his home in Clonee, west Dublin, before threatening uniformed cops with a knife.

Speaking on RTE s Morning Ireland, he said: It is absolutely rampant in the community and we know that for a fact. Everyone is at extreme high risk now at contracting the virus.
He said Ireland may hit 3,000 daily cases over the next few days.
Reid added: The real picture over the last few days is most likely getting close to 3,000 cases a day.

JUSTICE Minister Helen McEntee has said schools are being kept under review - but there are no plans to keep them closed after January 11.
Primary and secondary schools were due to open after the Christmas break on January 6.

But Taoiseach Micheal Martin last night announced that they would remain closed for an extra three days due to the rise in Covid-19 cases in Ireland.
McEntee said the extended break will give everyone a chance to limit their contacts - and stressed that they are safe environments.
Speaking on RTE s Morning Ireland, she said: Given the sharp rise in numbers, we have a lot of people isolating, it gives them time to go through that period and everyone a chance to limit contacts.
