Christian Co Jailer Brad Boyd announces retirement

Hopkinsville, KY, USA / WHOP 1230 AM | News Radio Jul 9, 2021 | 4:54 PM Christian County Jailer Brad Boyd will retire following a long career of service at the facility, effective July 31. That’s according to a letter from Boyd to Christian County Judge-Executive Steve Tribble, notifying him of his intention to retire.  In the letter, Boyd says it was a decision he came to after much thought and discussion with his family, and it has been an honor to serve the citizens of Christian County.  In his 27 year career at the jail, Boyd says he can say with confidence that the county has the best jail in the state, with “awesome staff who are carrying out the day-to-day tasks”.

New Christian County Manufacturer to Create 79 Jobs

The South Western Kentucky Economic Development Council announced Thursday morning that EZ-ACCESS is locating in Christian County. Executive Director Carter Hendricks says EZ-ACCESS will be starting manufacturing operations in Christian County in late summer, creating 79 jobs and over $5 million in capital investment. He says this move is an expansion of their existing operations in Washington State, allowing the company to be closer to their locations in Morganfield and Henderson. Additionally, Hendricks says the company will relocate several corporate positions to the new location at 2230 Pembroke Road in Hopkinsville. Don Everard, President/CEO of EZ-ACCESS says they are excited to be making this investment in Hopkinsville and the South Western Kentucky region.
