Deputies have released the name of a man that was flown to a Nashville hospital after a rollover crash on Pennyrile Parkway Saturday night.
Christian County Sheriff’s deputies say a truck driven by 36-year-old John Berry was northbound on Pennyrile Parkway two miles north of the Crofton exit when he lost control and ran into the median. The truck overturned several times ejecting Berry.
Berry was taken by helicopter to Skyline Medical Center with severe injuries. The crash happened just after 6 pm.

The Kentucky Sheriff’s Boys and Girls Ranch is slated to return this year after a summer off due to the pandemic and the Christian County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help to donate much-needed items.
The program provides services, supplies and staff for the Boys and Girls Ranch located in Gilbertsville to provide children an opportunity to experience a positive and uplifting summer camp in a supportive setting.
Many of the items needed on the wish list are pandemic-related and include touchless thermometers, hand sanitizer, disinfectant spray, disinfecting wipes, face masks, laundry detergent and hand pump soap.

A Hopkinsville man was recently arrested by the Christian County Sheriff’s Office following an accident and shots fired call.
Deputies were notified of an accident in the Greenville Road area Thursday night and made contact with 52-year old Robert Wagner. Witnesses said Wagner had fired a gun into the air near a residential area of Cave Street prior to the crash.
A news release says Wagner had an odor of alcohol coming from his person, his speech was slurred and his eyes were red and glassy.
A handgun was seized from Wagner and it was a preliminary match to a shell casing found on scene.
A Hopkinsville man was charged with wanton endangerment after he fired his gun then wrecked his truck on Greenville Road Thursday night.
Christian County Sheriff’s deputies say 52-year-old Robert Wagner fired a shot from his truck at the intersection of Cave Street and Greenville Road just before 10 pm. Wagner then turned onto Greenville Road and his truck ran off the road hitting several mailboxes, a sign, then a fence, and a metal awning near Cave Run Drive.
Wagner was taken by ambulance to Jennie Stuart Medical Center for injuries from the crash. Deputies say no property was damaged and no one was injured when the shot was fired on Cave Street.

A single-vehicle accident Saturday afternoon on the Pennyrile Parkway seriously injured the driver.
The man had been traveling just north of the Crofton exit about 6 p.m. when his vehicle went into the median and overturned, ejected him from the automobile, according to Sheriff Tyler DeArmond.
The man was flown by Air Evac to Skyline Medical Center in Nashville for serious injuries.
All four lanes of the Parkway were closed while deputies investigated.
