Chadwell has also been named the 2020 Walter Camp Coach of the Year, the Associated Press Coach of the Year, The Home Depot College Football Coach of the Year, the 2020 Eddie Robinson Coach of the Year, the Sporting News’ 2020 Coach of the Year, the 2020 CBS Sports/247Sports Coach of the Year, the Paul “Bear” Bryant Group of 5 2020 Conference Coach of the Year, and was chosen by fans as The Premier Coach of College Football by Premier Players, Inc.

I’ve got a clean calendar in front of me, and even though I live daily with the restrictions of the pandemic, I am so hopeful about life returning to the freedom and fullness of what we’ve known before. Each year, I choose a scripture that seems to fit the year and write it in the front of my journal. I am gratefully stuck on the one from II Timothy. It’s been my favorite for many years now. The scripture focuses on such important qualities of faith over fear, power over helplessness, love over hate and self-control over a lack of inner strength.

Priddy, Charles Louis Tuesday, January 12, 2021 Charles Priddy   He was born in Soddy on July 12, 1936, to Morris and Leila (McRee) Priddy and was a lifelong Chattanooga resident and long-time member of Hixson United Methodist Church.   Louis was a member of the Soddy High School Class of 1954 and earned degrees from King College and the Presbyterian School of Christian Education. His lifetime of ministry and service began with the Bristol Boys Club while attending King. Following graduation he served as Minister of Youth and Recreation at two Presbyterian churches in Memphis before becoming Tennessee State Director for the March of Dimes.   Louis returned to Chattanooga where his passions for people, service, and running eventually led him to open Front Runner Athletics in Hixson, which he owned and operated for over twenty years. United Way 2020 Campaign Update

Effingham, IL / Effingham Radio Jan 11, 2021 5:02 PM Effingham, IL -(Effingham Radio)- The 2020 United Way Campaign officially closes at the end of January.  To date a total of $223,454 has been raised, which is 70% of the $320,000 goal.  United Way Board of Directors would like to thank all businesses and individuals who have donated to the campaign. Donations are still being accepted, as the campaign officially closes on 1/31/21.  Funds raised help 20 local partner agencies provide support and services to those in need in Effingham County.  The global pandemic has greatly affected fundraising efforts as fundraiser events previously scheduled were cancelled due to COVID.
