GUILFORD â The townâs proposed fiscal year 2022 general fund budget was crafted with the goal of reducing the tax burden during the COVID-19 pandemic.
âThat budget reflects a strategy of the Select Board and our wonderful finance advisory committee, which Iâd like to give a shout out to now, which came into existence after the last town meeting,â Select Board Chairman Richard Wizansky said during an informational meeting held remotely Thursday. âThis budget reflects a strategy to draw on savings to cover selected expenses generally paid for by tax revenues.â

GUILFORD â Thanks to a project of the Vermont Public Service Department, Guilford residents and students now have access to a total of four WiFi hotspots.
The Vermont Public Service Department, in response to the COVID pandemic, recently teamed up with the Deerfield Valley Communications District (DVCUD) and local communities to secure installation of additional hotspots around the district. The most recent addition in Guilford is at the Guilford Town Office and is accessible from the parking lot. Other existing hotspots include the Guilford Free Library, the Guilford Volunteer Fire Department, and the Guilford Central School.
