A car and sport utility vehicle were involved in the incident. Police said a northbound passenger car proceeded through the intersection and collided with the westbound SUV. As a result of police investigation, the driver of the passenger car was charged with starting from stopped position not in safety, contrary to the Highway Traffic Act. The defendant was issued a Provincial Offences Act notice. Both vehicles sustained damages and were towed.
