A Virginia judge denied bond to the woman accused of abducting a 2-year-old from a church earlier this month. Prosecutors allege she had plans to take another boy as well.
CHRISTIANSBURG â Nancy Renee Fridley, the Virginia woman accused of abducting a 2-year-old from a church in Giles County tried to mislead investigators by submitting false tips, a prosecutor said Thursday.
And during the 25 hours that Fridley allegedly had Noah Gabriel Trout, she and her boyfriend shaved the childâs head and introduced him to neighbors as âBobby Jr.,â saying he was the son of Fridleyâs boyfriend Bobby Lee Taylor, the prosecutor said.
The toddler was taken from a nursery during Sunday services May 2 at Riverview Baptist Church in Ripplemead, Virginia, about 80 miles north of the N.C. state line.

Officials believe the person died within the past year, the Giles County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement.
A group of fishermen at Shumate Falls in West Virginia made a gruesome discovery when they found skeletal remains. The remains, which were found on the bank of the New River, located near the Virginia and West Virginia border, were determined to be human, according to deputies from the Giles County Sheriff’s Office.
A pair of Under Armour high-top shoes were also found, police said.
The medical examiner said the person is believed to be a white male, between the ages of 40 and 60 years old. Officials believe the person died within the past year, the Giles County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement.

GILES COUNTY, Va. – Authorities have determined that remains found earlier this week in Giles County are, in fact, human remains.
On Sunday, a group of fishermen in the Shumate Falls area of Glen Lyn contacted law enforcement after finding skeletal remains on the bank of the New River.
The Medical Examiner’s Office inspected the bones and belives they are from a white man who died sometime in the past year and was between 40 to 60 years old.
Nancy Fridley, 44, was arrested on Monday for kidnapping Noah Gabriel Trout
Noah went missing from the Riverview Baptist Church in Ripplemead Sunday
He was found safe at Fridley s trailer 75 miles away in Clifton Gorge the next day
Police later learned Fridley had been spotted at two other nearby churches in the weeks before the kidnapping and on the day Noah went missing
They said Fridley may have been casing other places outside of Giles County to commit similar acts
Fridley s boyfriend Bobby Lee Taylor was also charged with abduction
Police said the suspects appeared to have targeted Noah at random
