BEAVERCREEK, Ore. Security cameras happened to be rolling when two thieves pulled into a parking lot off South Leland Road in Beavercreek. In a matter of seconds it was clear as day what they were after. They re on every car, said Clackamas County Deputy Sheriff John Wildhaber. Pretty much every car out there has one with a few exceptions of older cars.
Catalytic converters are what Deputy Sheriff John Wildhaber is talking about.
Video shows a Ford F-350, most likely stolen according to authorities, park right next to a green Ford Excursion. The driver of the truck jumps out and drops to the ground. In a matter of 70 seconds he manages to cut away the Excursion s catalytic converter.
Voters say yes to Clackamas Sheriff s Levy May 18 2021
Levy to add maintain deputies, add mental health beds and body camera program winning by considerable margin.
Clackamas County voters approved the sheriff s levy once again, according to early election results.
As of 8 p.m. Tuesday, May 18, there were 19,774 yes votes and 15,694 no votes.
Voters first passed the Clackamas Sheriff s Levy in 2006 and have approved it every five years since.
This year though, for the first time, new Clackamas County Sheriff Angela Brandenburg raised the taxation rate on the levy by 12 cents up to 36.8 cents per $1,000 of assessed value. That amounts to a cost of approximately $8.19 per month, or $98.26 per year, on a home with an assessed value of $267,000, which is the median assessed value of a home in Clackamas County (note that assessed value is lower than market value).
Detectives seek tips after skeletal human remains found
CLACKAMAS COUNTY, Oregon (KPTV) Detectives are asking for the public’s help after skeletal human remains were found last week, according to the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office.
On May 4, just after 8 p.m., deputies responded to the Clackamas Fire District #1 station on Southeast Fuller Road. The sheriff’s office says that a person had reported finding a partial human skull nearby.
The person led deputies to the location of the remains, a wetland area near Southeast Causey Avenue and Southeast Fuller Road, according to the sheriff’s office. Additional skeletal remains were located in the area and the scene was secured.

CLACKAMAS COUNTY, Ore. Human skeletal remains were found Tuesday in a wetland area near Southeast Causey Avenue and Fuller Road in unincorporated Clackamas County. Clackamas County Sheriff s Office detectives are seeking tips in the case.
Someone came across the remains and went to a nearby fire station to report them on May 8, the Clackamas County Sheriff s Office said.
The Clackamas County Deputy Medical Examiner and Crime Scene Investigation (CSI) forensic experts responded.
Authorities believe the remains are between eight months and over two years old. They also believe the remains belonged to a white man who was between 5 6 and 6 1 and 45 to 65 years old.
