The South Bay s largest water provider in the South Bay, with more than 2 million customers, is expected to officially declare a drought emergency on Wednesday, calling on cities and private companies to cut water by 15 percent from 2019 levels.

East Bay residents may soon see a hike in their water bills.
East Bay MUD customers might see a proposed rate increase of 4% by July of this year, then another 4% by July of 2022.
EBMUD board of directors will vote on it next month, and they want to put the $$ to improving infrastructure.
Santa Clara Valley Water District just approved a 9.1 percent hike to go into effect next year.
