Montgomery County awaits stimulus funds before approving projects

Montgomery County budget approvals for a new north Clarksville public library branch and improvements to Stokes Field headline a list of projects on hold, pending word on an anticipated $40.5 million in federal stimulus funding. But the unknownsin play with stimulus payout have placed projects on hold. What we think we know today is the amount that we will receive, said County Mayor Jim Durrett.  It will be in two payments and there is a deadline on when the money must be spent.
