(WTVF) — Montgomery County Mayor Jim Durrett will allow the county s mask mandate to expire at midnight Friday. “Although we are lifting the mask mandate throughout our community, masks will be required in all County and City government buildings to protect our employees to the maximum extent possible, Mayor Durrett said in a press release. Our employees and visitors will also be required to wear masks when working with the public unless a partition is between the customer and employee. We have an occupational employment duty to protect our employees and ensure the continuity of County and City operations.”

FORT CAMPBELL, KY (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – The 101st Airborne Division held a change of command ceremony Friday at Fort Campbell, Kentucky, welcoming Maj. Gen. Joseph (JP) McGee as its new commanding general. McGee is no stranger to Fort Campbell, having been assigned to the post multiple times throughout his career. Hankook announces major Clarksville plant expansion

Hankook announces major Clarksville plant expansion Clarksville Leaf-Chronicle Hankook Tire confirmed Wednesday morning it is embarking on the phase 2 expansion of the South Korean-owned Clarksville tire plant, bringing its total investment in Montgomery County to about $1 billion. The Tennessee plant’s annual production capacity will double to 10 million tires. Hankook is regarded in the recruiting realm as one of the biggest industrial scores not only in Montgomery County history, but the southeast region. The company s investment tops the list of major industrial development in the Clarksville area.  Other major business scores in Clarksville include a Google data center($600 million), LG Electronics phase 1 washing machine plant ($350 million) and the recently announced Microvast electric automotive battery plant, at ($220 million).
