PPWH donation from St Enochs ST Enoch Shopping Centre have announced their plans to give away £5,000 to a range of charities over Christmas. The city centre shopping mall will share the donation between charities such as The Prince & Princess of Wales Hospice, Cancer Support Scotland, Glasgow Children s Hospital Charity, Ronald McDonald House and The Salvation Army. The charities, which would normally be seen fundraising within St Enoch during the festive period, have been hit after the coronavirus pandemic halted fundraising events. Anne Ledgerwood, general manager at St Enoch Centre said: “We really treasure the work our charity partners do for the communities they work in, and we’re glad we can be a part of this tremendous effort to improve the lives of those in need.
RANGERS helped bring some festive cheer to sick kids at the Royal Hospital for Children by staging online ward visits ahead of Christmas Day. And elderly residents around Ibrox were also given an early present as the Rangers Charity Foundation delivered hampers to local care homes. The initiatives come at the end of a challenging but successful year for the Foundation as they have adapted to the Coronavirus pandemic and been able to help people in Glasgow and across the country. Steven Gerrard’s side were unable to visit children and their families as usual this year due to Covid restrictions but the Ibrox squad took time out from their schedule to meet kids and parents over Zoom as the youngsters were also gifted signed photographs of the squad.
